I have been almost afraid to look.
I hope it stays up, but I know exactly why the decision was made. Whatever the decision, I Love the site! Always have, always will! <3

Re: Site Shutting Down
could you guys just sell it, so the women still have a place to go?
So many are crumbling, and so many ladies out there still do not know where to go...

Re: Site Shutting Down
I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with the site. I haven't updated the site software in over 4 years, and it has been badly in need of the updates for at least the last 2 years. It got to the point where I would have rather put up a new and improved site on another domain and just redirected SGFE traffic to the new domain.
Hopefully I can figure something out.

How will we be notified when you switch to the new domain?

Re: Site Shutting Down
Thank you for what you have done. We are just another community of like minded people. The intent was to stop underage and female and underage sex trafficking, pedophiles, etc. That all when behind VPN's and into the dark web shortly after the bill started to get teeth. Sadly the authorities ability to find and stop that vanished off their radar screen FAST. Now that is behind vaults they can not see, prosecute or stop so they did the worst offenders a head start on hiding. The reset of us consenting adults that harm nobody and enjoy the worlds oldest profession will be following into the untraceable new world. Looks good on the news but total backfire in real life.

Re: Site Shutting Down
Hi New member here, but I have been active on other forums for years and have even spent a lot time as a moderator out in the RW. I see two problems here. The first being the need to update, being somewhat familiar with vbulletin, yes, if you are to continue the upgrade is imperative. I would first check with the developer to see if you can upgrade you current version or if it is so out of date that it is no longer possible.
Secondly, shutting it down or not, I have read several posts about people not wanting to shut it down, I would support that idea as well. The recent shutdown of several major websites have left both the hobbiest and provider searching for answers on how to be able to connect and to mitigate as much as possible the risks involved. I have not read the recent legislation but I would think that there probably is a need to change how and what is posted in order to stay on the right side of the law in order to continue proving a venue to communicate.
One website that I am aware of has moved from .com to .ch and gone offshore.
If I can help in some way LMK.

Re: Site Shutting Down
I think u hit everything right on the nose.
said it perfectly !!
This industry has been brought to shame. The clients don’t care about the providers anymore like they used to. All they want to do now is bounce around from girl to girl. Back in the day the guys actually helped u out and cared. Then u have these “regular” girls coming into the business doing a lot for nothing charging extremely cheap prices and providing less than quality experiences.
I never never in my life experienced such rude and trashy clients ever in my life until these past few years..
definately is not worth it...
maybe now we can get back to how it was once everything is shut down and these guys don’t have anywhere to go either.
Get these regular girls who are not providers/ entertainers, but merely thots trying to make my money for club weekends or boyfriends that they need to take care of.

Re: Site Shutting Down
Chances are still about 99% that I will be retiring SouthernGFE in June of this year. In its current configuration, I just don't have the desire to implement the necessary upgrades and modifications to keep it a modern and highly functional tool for ladies. I have the technical skills to make it happen, just not the passion(or time) to do it and keep it running smoothly 24/7. And I certainly don't have a desire to throw up something else from scratch.
But instead of just scraping the site and shutting down everything, I thought about using it to spotlight many of the stalkers, bullies, predators, and other bad elements that ladies have to deal with. Not really a screening site or a detailed blacklist or anything like that. More like a very simple showcase of the worst of the worst in the escorting world, with an emphasis on very simple. There are a lot of people—men and women—floating around who have a long history of using lies and distortion to attack women, stalk them, out them, berate them and their followers, and in the process of all that, they destroy any semblance of real community.
There will always be friction and conflicts that arise from all the egos contained in such a small space of the Internet—a space that is already highly stigmatized and afforded very little room for error in the eyes of the general public. All it takes is a small group of predators to sow that animosity and throw off the balance of a community. In most cases the people guilty of sowing the most animosity are the people who see themselves as the gatekeepers of an entire community and feel like they've been anointed to dictate the views and actions of other people.
But it doesn't have to be the den of vitriol and animosity that it has become. If you can isolate and weed out the obvious bad seeds, it makes it a little harder for them to spread their sickness to the greater community.

Re: Site Shutting Down
And I just reset my password lol. Been semi UTR for the last few years, not this. The hobby is just not the same. Maybe from all the disconnect, providers and hobbyists alike will become more ,, nah it never happen...
Sorry to see you go even though I haven't been here.
