hm, are you sure it was intentional? There are a lot of posts right now about bitcoin and many of them mention coinbase. I don't think it's the perfect solution but it is one of the more common ones.

It seems there is an article here featuring Liara where she was interviewed about Bitcoin on June 21st:

That one was published earlier in the month and considering how long it takes to interview all the people in that article, I'm guessing she's been talking about it for some time. She posted again mentioning bitcoin and cryptography on 6/24. Your post was on 6/28 which puts it right in the middle of all of this - perhaps just great minds think alike?

Have you reached out to her before this? If she was a jerk to you in response, I understand you calling her out publicly, but it seems like it's possible the two of you just have very similar interests and responded similarly to a crappy situation (the backpage one.) It would be lovely to see the two of you friends over it instead of at odds - technologically astute companions are hard to find!

I don't mean to be dismissive of your claim - if she did see your post, perhaps she should have linked in in hers - but I'd hate to see a feud over something when it seems both of you primarily had the intention of helping others learn with these posts. I'm sorry to hear about the frustrating situation and hope it works out for you.

The probability that it wasn't intentional converges to zero rather quickly - I was ahead of the Backpage fiasco and my post made the rounds.

Believe it or not, articles don't actually take that much time to publish; in a previous incarnation, it only took a week for that persona from interview to publication.

Yes, she has consistently been a jerk. There is no excuse for her brand of sociopathy, hence calling her out publicly. I wouldn't have done so otherwise.

I only see 8 retweets on the tweets you linked and the one from 'escorting advice' (which has the most retweets) is actually in response to a post by escorting advice about Liara's original article (https://twitter.com/EscortingAdvice/status/615574880709251072) (on the 17th? Weird how that's even earlier than the date on Ozy now, but maybe they changed that.) which has 9 retweets. It honestly seems like you're both just talking about similar things, and if anything the timeline seems to indicate she was posting about it first?

I admit I'm still quite curious to hear what else may have happened between you to, but again, I do hope everyone can come out of this friends. Both articles seem helpful to me, in different ways!

Posting a general Bitcoin article has been done well before hers - but copying the specific idea of mine is unforgivable.
